We are a family run small business in the Hudson Valley. Family is at the heart of who we are, what we do and why we do it.
My Nephew, Brian and I bought Juckas Riding Stables in October of 2021 to carry on the legacy of two extraordinary people Don Maney (my dad and his grandfather) and Karen Juckas (my stepmom and his grandmother). They both owned and operated farms and horse businesses until they passed in May and June 2020.
We grew up inspired by their passion, love of horses and being entrepreneurs. Karen opened Juckas Riding Stables in 1953 in Pine Bush NY and it was her life’s work and love. Don bought and sold horses since he was a young boy and opened a tack shop in 1967 in Goshen, NY.
Today, we honor and continue their legacies by offering a place for you to relax, connect with nature and animals while immersing yourself in affordable activities, lessons, events, and experiences that offer fun ways to care for your mind and body with friends, family, and new friends you haven’t met yet.
At Juckas Riding Stables our mission is to offer personalized and tailor opportunities for our guests and their families to determine, develop and support their own sense of health, happiness and peace with just the right mix of adventure.
Stop by and enjoy our lawn games, take a trail ride, pony ride, browse our Legacy and Lace store or Don Maney Tack shop, buy or board a horse, take a hayride, sit by our fire pit and make s’mores, sign your child up for after school or summer camp, take a riding lesson, join us for a sip and paint, sunset yoga or book a special event in our Pony Party Pavilion or Event Barn – birthday, engagement, gender reveal, family reunion, corporate or team building event – whatever you want to celebrate, we can make it happen.
